What to wear
The wedding takes place during São Paulo's spring, and October usually brings pleasant but changeable weather:
Average temperatures: between 61°F/16°C (night) and 79°F/26°C (day)
Weather: mostly sunny, but with a chance of quick rain showers — a compact umbrella or light rain jacket is a good idea
In the evening (the time of both the ceremony and the reception): temperatures drop — we recommend a shawl, light blazer, or thin jacket for later in the night
Suggested attire: Cocktail | Formal Attire
Light fabrics work well for the day, but it's worth having something warmer on hand for after sunset. Since the reception takes place in a garden setting, thin heels can sink into the grass — bringing a pair of flats to walk around the garden comfortably is always a good idea.
Dress Code Color Pallet:
Blue, yellow, red, green and orange, inspired by the energy and flowers of the spring season. We encourage lighter, brighter, and happier tones, but feel free to pick any tone from these colors to dress up and celebrate!
A quick tour of São Paulo
For anyone with a bit of free time during the trip, the Jardins neighborhood is a great starting point — right near where most guests will be staying:
Rua Oscar Freire: São Paulo's most fashionable street, lined with Brazilian and international designer boutiques, great for shopping or a coffee on the sidewalk.
MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art): classic and modern art collection, on Av. Paulista.
Parque Trianon: small green oasis in the middle of Av. Paulista, great for a walk.
Ema Klabin Foundation: house-museum with a garden, in Jardins.
MuBE (Brazilian Museum of Sculpture): open-air art, also in Jardins.
What to buy:
Brazilian handicrafts, semi-precious stones (amethyst, agate), specialty Brazilian coffee, premium cachaça, and artisanal chocolates all make great souvenirs. For fashion, the Rua Oscar Freire and Shopping Iguatemi (Jardins) area is the best showcase of Brazilian design.
